We are seeking a Senior Accountant at our headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Sr Accountant is primarily responsible for assisting the Controller in the financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and performance measurement functions.
This position will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer, Controller and other key team members, and is responsible for all facets of the accounting operations including consolidation, period end journal entries, general ledger, accruals, account reconciliation, fixed assets, internal management reporting, and timely administrative registrations.
How you’ll spend your time:
•You will provide critical insight and measure performance for divisions and departments to executive management and line of business personnel.
•You will develop reports, identify trends and analyze variances, ensuring timely and accurate information flow to management.
•You will ensure the timeliness and accuracy of month end entries, accruals and general ledger reconciliations; prepare financial analyses and generate reports which measure actual results against budget to assist finance and executive management in making financial decisions.
•You will coordinate and/or participate in special projects as required by finance and executive management.
•Preparation and submission of various weekly & monthly financial reports within tight deadlines.
•You will work closely will all team members in the Accounting/Finance department.
•Manage the entire month, quarter and year-end closing process.
•Performs general accounting and consolidation (GL, Revenue and AR, Accruals, Cash, and Fixed Assets, balance sheet reserves, roll-forwards and account reconciliations)
•Ensure proper processing of divisional invoices, payments, statements, new vendor set-ups, and manufacturing representative commission reports.
Education & Experience:
•Educational requirements- bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance.
•5 years related accounting experience with a public or private company.
•Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
•High degree of attention to detail.
•Experience reviewing and interpreting company policies and procedures, government regulations and developing policies and procedures to increase compliance.
•Ability to easily present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
•Excellent knowledge of PC-based applications (databases, spreadsheets, word processors, utilities, operating systems).
