Solutions Engineer - Thermal Management Systems Company Overview

We are seeking a technical Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary technical liaison between Neurair and our customers for thermal management and cooling distribution unit (CDU) solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to translate complex customer requirements into optimized secondary loop cooling solutions.
- Conduct detailed technical discussions with customers to understand their thermal management challenges, operational constraints, and performance objectives
- Perform site assessments and evaluate existing infrastructure to identify integration requirements and limitations
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams to gather comprehensive system specifications including heat loads, space constraints, environmental conditions, and reliability requirements
- Document and translate customer needs into detailed technical specifications for internal engineering teams
- Analyze customer thermal profiles and cooling requirements to specify appropriate cooling distribution units
- Evaluate and recommend CDU configurations including capacity, redundancy levels, fluid types, and control systems
- Perform thermal calculations and modeling to validate CDU sizing and performance predictions
- Coordinate with product engineering teams to customize CDU specifications when standard solutions are insufficient
- Design comprehensive secondary loop cooling architectures that integrate seamlessly with customer facilities and equipment
- Develop system layouts including piping design, pump selection, heat exchanger sizing, and control system architecture
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for proposed solutions
- Conduct thermal and hydraulic analysis to optimize system performance and efficiency
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle and project implementation
- Prepare technical proposals, presentations, and documentation for customer review
- Support installation teams and provide technical guidance during system commissioning
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal system performance
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, thermal management, HVAC systems, or industrial cooling applications
- Strong understanding of heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics
- Experience with cooling distribution units, secondary loop systems, and liquid cooling technologies
- Proficiency in engineering design software (CAD, thermal modeling tools, hydraulic analysis software)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Customer-facing experience in technical sales or applications engineering roles
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline
- Experience with data center cooling, industrial process cooling, or precision thermal management applications
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to cooling systems and building infrastructure
- Project management experience and familiarity with project management tools
- Professional engineering license or relevant technical certifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple customer projects simultaneously
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively across engineering, sales, and operations teams
- Adaptability to work in fast-paced environment with evolving customer requirements
- Travel flexibility for customer site visits and project support activities
