SolidWorks Designer / Drafter

Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Designer to join our client' dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics that will assist in the assembly and construction of various projects. This role requires proficiency in drafting software and a good understanding of industry codes and standards. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure that all designs meet specifications and are completed on time.

Duties

- Assist in development of detailed schematics and drawings using SolidWorks software.

- Assemble and build models based on project specifications.

- Collaborate with engineers to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback into drafts.

- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes and standards.

- Utilize software such as SolidWorks, MicroStation, and NavisWorks for drafting tasks.

- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as required to validate designs.

- Create 2D animations to illustrate complex concepts or processes.

- Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and project documentation.

Skills

- 2-3 years in drafting software including SolidWorks, MicroStation, and NavisWorks.

- Strong understanding of schematics, assembly processes, and building techniques.

- Familiarity with drafting codes and standards relevant to the industry.

- Ability to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for design validation.

- Experience in creating 2D animations for visual representation of projects.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
