CAD Drafter/Eng. Assistant

Experience:

- Minimum of 3+ years in building/structural design and 3+ years of AutoCAD experience.

- Familiarity with design codes, standards, and best practices in the construction and metal building industry.

- Proven experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Create floor plans, elevations, connection details, and production drawings using AutoCAD.

- Convert U.S. engineer-stamped structural drawings into construction-ready and mass-production-ready designs.

- Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) with consideration for material utilization and manufacturing processes.

- Optimize designs based on engineering codes, load requirements, and material properties.

- Participate in product structural improvements and modular building innovations.

- Assist in optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.

Communication Skills:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with the sales team, customers, and architects to clarify design details and resolve any discrepancies.

- Ability to document changes and maintain clear records of all communications and revisions for project tracking.

- Work closely with department managers to ensure that all project timelines and deliverables are met.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3+ years of architectural or structural drafting experience. - At least 3+ years of experience in steel structure design.

- Proficient in AutoCAD with strong 2D drafting skills; 3D experience is a plus.

- Solid understanding of architectural and structural design principles, material properties, and applicable codes.

- Able to independently complete full sets of construction and production drawings.

- Fluent in both English and Chinese

- Experience in construction, metal structures, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred.

Additional Skills:

- Experience with manufacturing process improvement or on-site production support.

- Familiarity with modular construction or prefabricated buildings.

- Proficiency in Revit, Tekla, SolidWorks, or other BIM-related software.

- Experience working with international teams or overseas projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $36.00 per hour
