Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, not be afraid of heights, and possess the ability to lead projects and mentor junior installers. This role involves working on residential and industrial construction sites, ensuring the installation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

•

Oversee electrical installations and repairs in residential and commercial buildings, including high voltage systems.

•

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of electrical systems.

•

Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to electrical work.

•

Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.

•

Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment.

•

Coordinate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.

•

Train and mentor junior installers on best practices and safety protocols.

•

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for.

Requirements

•

Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

•

Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.

•

Ability to work effectively on construction sites with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

•

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as voltmeters.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

•

Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
