We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Solar Site Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys for solar installations by visiting customer homes to gather critical information, including taking photos of roof framing, electrical equipment, and the overall condition of the property. As a Solar Site Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate data collection and facilitating smooth project installations.
- Travel to customer homes using a company-provided vehicle to perform site surveys for solar installations.
- Take detailed photographs of roof framing, electrical equipment, and other key aspects of the property to assess suitability for solar panel installation.
- Inspect the current condition of homes, noting any issues that could impact the installation process.
- Use ladders to access rooftops safely and take measurements, including but not limited to roof dimensions, angles, and shading analysis.
- Carefully remove and inspect electrical panels, documenting key information related to electrical systems and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Measure and document key areas using a tape measure to assist in accurate solar panel system planning.
- Sit inspection in a given window for previously installed systems. .
- Maintain accurate records of all surveys and inspections, ensuring timely reporting to the project management team.
- Work collaboratively with sales and installation teams to ensure that customer expectations and technical requirements are aligned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or experience in construction, electrical work, or solar installation are a plus.
- Must be comfortable with climbing ladders, working on rooftops, and handling electrical panel covers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document site conditions and measurements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, ensuring all surveys and inspections are completed within set deadlines.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in solar installation, construction, or electrical work is a plus.
- Familiarity with using basic tools such as tape measures, cameras, and mobile devices for reporting.
- Knowledge of safety procedures for working with electrical systems and on rooftops.
