We are looking for an energetic Solar Sales Consultant to help homeowners switch to clean, renewable energy. In this hybrid role, you’ll split time between office-based training and on-the-road sales. You’ll meet with prospective customers, explain the benefits of solar panels, and close contracts. No formal degree or solar experience is required – we provide paid, hands-on training led by top industry experts and supply leads, so you can focus on selling. This is a commission-only position, but extremely competitive – average commissions are around $5,000 per sale, giving you unlimited earning potential. Both entry-level candidates and seasoned sales reps are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
•Meet and educate customers: Travel locally to conduct in-home and virtual presentations. Explain how solar power works, including cost savings and financing options.
•Sell solar solutions: Use our leads to build relationships, address customer questions, and close sales. Every sale typically earns a high commission.
•Manage leads and follow-ups: Promptly contact leads provided by the company. Schedule appointments, follow up on proposals, and update customer information in our CRM.
•Achieve sales goals: Work toward and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets. Track your progress and maintain motivation in a performance-driven role.
•Represent the company: Maintain a professional, positive attitude. Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to stay informed about products and best practices.
Compensation
This role is commission-only (no base salary): you earn income directly from each sale. Key points:
•Average commission: About $5,000 per sale, based on typical deal sizes in the industry.
•Uncapped earnings: Motivated consultants often earn $300,000+ per year (multiple sales per month adds up quickly).
•Competitive structure: We offer industry-leading commission rates. As you succeed, your income grows without limit.
•Example: For instance, closing just 4–6 sales per month could yield well over $20,000–$30,000 in monthly commissions.
Qualifications
•No degree required: High school diploma or equivalent is fine. We train you fully in solar sales.
•Sales experience a plus: Prior sales (in solar, home services, automotive, etc.) can help you start strong, but it’s not mandatory.
•Strong communicator: Excellent verbal and presentation skills. You should enjoy talking with homeowners and explaining technical information in simple terms.
•Self-motivated: This is a commission role, so you need drive, persistence, and a positive attitude to pursue and close sales.
•Reliable transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for visiting client homes and meeting prospects.
•Professional: Good attendance, punctuality, and a professional appearance. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
