About This Job

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a skilled Solar Roof Lead to oversee rooftop solar installations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role involves leading a roofing crew, managing panel and racking installations, and coordinating with electrical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Lead and supervise a roofing crew during solar PV installations on residential and commercial rooftops.

•

Install and secure solar panels, racking systems, and related components, ensuring structural integrity.

•

Assess roof conditions, ensuring compatibility with solar systems and adherence to safety standards.

•

Coordinate with electricians and project managers to align roofing and electrical work.

•

Perform minor roof repairs and flashing installations to prevent leaks.

•

Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, and manufacturer specifications.

•

Train and mentor crew members on safe roofing and installation practices.

•

Document work performed and maintain accurate project records.

•

Communicate with clients to explain installation processes and address concerns.

Qualifications:

•

3+ years of roofing experience, with 1+ year in solar PV installations.

•

Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and solar racking systems.

•

Leadership skills and ability to manage a crew.

•

Physical ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment.

•

Valid driver’s license; NABCEP certification is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 60 per week

Work Location: In person
