Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar panel systems on residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety protocols. The Solar Installer will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality installations that meet industry standards.
Duties

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial properties
•
This role requires a strong understanding of solar technology, electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality
•
Installation: Install solar panels, inverters, and associated electrical equipment according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications
•
Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of installed systems to ensure optimal performance
•
Electrical Work: Conduct electrical work, including wiring and connections, while adhering to local, state, and national codes
•
System Testing: Test systems post-installation to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently
•
Site Assessment: Assist with site assessments and measurements to determine optimal system design and installation locations
•
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain system operations and maintenance requirements
•
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
•
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including project managers and electricians, to complete installations on time and within budget
•
Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively during the installation process.
•
Perform high voltage electrical work, including wiring and connecting solar systems to existing electrical infrastructure.
•
Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
•
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installation.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
•
Assist in fixture installation as needed, ensuring all components are securely mounted.
Requirements
•
5 years previous experience in solar installation required
•
Familiarity with schematics and the ability to read blueprints is essential.
•
Knowledge of high voltage systems and safe handling practices is required.
•
Proficiency in using voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment is advantageous.
•
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
•
Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy materials, and comfortable working at heights.
•
OSHA certification or willingness to obtain.
•
Must be able to withstand summer heat (working outdoors)
•
A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
