Job Description

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to work full time in driving residential and commercial PV/BESS/EVSE/V2X sales and closing deals in Dutchess-Ulster-Orange Rockland-Putnam-Westchester-Albany-Columbia-Greene-Delaware-Sullivan County New York.

The right candidate will have a hunter mentality, and will have demonstrated a passion for and successful track record in the renewable energy space. The right candidate will be well-rounded and have the ability to connect and establish rapport with any and all prospective clients, ranging from homeowners to corporate CEOs.

This candidate will have the potential to make a major impact in our business, and—if performance supports advancement will be expected to develop into a key leader on the Renua team—likely in a Sales Director role, with responsibility to develop and train other sales representatives.

Candidate must be an organized and self-motivated professional with B2C sales experience who is able to communicate Renua’s products and services (primarily PV/BESS/EVSE/V2X , but also Service Upgrades/Smart Panels/Load Management, Heat Pumps) effectively to potential customers.

The right candidate must be outgoing, professional, consultative, willing and able to generate leads through a variety of channels, meet with potential customers to cover the opportunity, benefits, and incentives.

The right candidate must be determined to overcome adversity, adapt to changing landscapes, able to close deals, and participate in the lifespan of the project through to station commissioning and installation completion.

Renua Energy, Inc., located in Clifton Park, NY is an innovative family-owned and operated service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) that provides residential and commercial PV/BESS/EVSE/V2X Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services throughout Eastern and Central New York and Vermont.

Responsibilities:

With assistance of Inside Sales, assume control of inbound leads and follow through in delivering sales proposal
Follow up with existing residential EVSE customers, in order to upsell to PV/BESS
Identify new potential residential and commercial customers and reach out to decision-makers via in-person drop-ins, telephone, email, and social media, in order to set up and lead in-person meetings to discuss potential for PV/BESS/EVSE/V2X at their place of residence or business
Understand and effectively communicate the benefits of PV/BESS/EVSE/V2X to the homeowner or business, including applicable incentives, potential tax credits, and potential revenue stream
Utilize solar sales proposal tool, project management tool, OnX, and Zoho CRM (Bigin) as tools, with access provided by Renua Energy, and keep detailed records of customer interactions
Upon completing an on-site sales presentation, document the existing conditions on-site in order to confirm the breaker space available in host location main service panel or subpanel, as appropriate, as well as the potential site for PV/EVSE pedestal and unit, communications connections, and best trench and conduit path (per discussion with host business)
Facilitate the execution of a sales agreement or host-operator agreement and serve as a single main point-of-contact for customers through the completion of the installation process
Participate in weekly sales-operations meetings, in order to coordinate the purchase of materials for upcoming jobs, plan upcoming installations, manage host/customer expectations, and schedule installations
Coordinate with Renua Energy’s PV/BESS/EVSE/V2X electrician/installation crews on an as-needed basis, to facilitate timely and well-planned installations
Coordinate with Renua Energy’s PV/BESS/EVSE/V2X designer, to facilitate accurate and timely system design and permitting
Assist with development of marketing materials, including case studies and customer reference letters, to be used in support of PV/BESS/EVSE/V2X sales efforts


Compensation:

Elevated base salary for 6 months to ramp up, plus generous commission on completed projects commensurate with experience and performance. Salary continues after six months at a reduced rate as commissions are expected to constitute a majority of compensation.

Candidate will have the ability to sell multiple solutions to any given customer, as Renua Energy is a comprehensive renewable energy solutions provider.
