Overview
We are seeking a LICENSED Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician to join our team. You must have at least two years of SOLAR electrical experience. This includes working with inverters and connecting solar systems to service panels, running wires to solar panels, etc. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential electrical work, with a strong understanding of low voltage systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading and the ability to work effectively on SOLAR installation sites, especially large commercial and ground mount arrays. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Please do NOT apply without this experience. We have plenty of panel installers. This is a leadership position that will include leading other electricians and training them in solar installations and trouble shooting. This will be a traveling job that will include working on sites in other states for weeks at a time, but you will be well compensated and earn per diem.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Work on various solar installation sites, including roofs and other elevated areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their electrical needs.
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in solar installations.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in electrical work.
- Ability to work on roofs or elevated surfaces safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
