Position Summary
This position is responsible for working in the Laminate Shop to manufacture high quality laminate countertops.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
•Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications
•Select material as per order sheet and complete required tasks
•Check product for imperfections and ensure that the company is able to make the best use of the material
•Safely transport material to workstation
•Maximize product usage and ensures pattern and color match
•Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood and wood substitutes
•Cut jobs and confirm each piece matches job details
•Label pieces to flow properly through the shop
•Cap laminate countertops
•Make and install side splashes on laminate countertops
•Maintain saws and their components
•Keep working area clean and organized
•Work in a safe manner that complies with all safety guidelines
•Contribute to team effort and complete other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
•Experience and knowledge in construction and/or countertop production industry an asset
•Minimum 3 years experience in woodworking/carpentry
•Experience working with laminate countertops production
•Strong attention to details
•Outstanding attendance and punctuality
•Ability to lift 85 lbs. +

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
