Position: Shop Laborer

Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. with overtime Possible

Pay: Based on Experience. The beginning hourly rate will be directly related to experience, skill, and quality of work. This will be a first shift position (7:00am – 3:30pm).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are a structural steel fabrication shop located in New Castle, PA. Candidate is responsible for Material Handling, Grinding and Drilling on steel beams, steel plate, and channel.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate all equipment in a safe manner

Report any hazards associated with the equipment to the Supervisor

Maintain a level of output that will minimize production delays

Clean and maintain an orderly work area

Assist other employees when needed

NECESSARY SKILLS:

Must be able to use basic hand tools

Must have knowledge of basic math skills

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Must be trained to safely operate overhead crane

Must work well with others

Must be detail-oriented

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required

PREFERRED SKILLS

Heavy fabrication experience
