Job Description

The Shop Hand/ Entry Level Machinists job necessitates a willingness to learn new tasks and utilize common sense in a hard-working environment.

The primary responsibilities are sawing, cutting pipe, painting, pallet orders, loading trucks, and maintaining a clean work environment. Prior shop experience is preferred.

Role and Responsibilities

· Saw material as stated on a work order

· Keep personal and shop area clean and maintained

· Utilize a forklift to move material and tubes as needed/ load trucks

· Receiving and Shipping of Material and Tubing

· Paint, Pallet, Label and prepare bill of lading items for shipping

· Read a tape measure and have basic math skills for measurement

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Basic Machine Shop knowledge is helpful

· Trainable and Flexible, strong willingness to learn

· Self-Motivated

· Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time and frequently lift heavy objects 50-75 lbs.

Preferred Skills

· Must have reliable transportation to and from work

· Driver’s License

· Must be over 18

· Prior Shop experience helpful, but not necessary

· Band Saw experience helpful, but not necessary

· Forklift experience a plus

· Overhead crane experience a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
