Fluidstream Inc., an oil and gas technology company that provides a patented multiphase compression technology.
Due to our ongoing organic growth, we are currently seeking a qualified Shop Hand/Technician to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. The
Shop hand/technician supports the manufacturing and field operations by building, maintaining and repairing equipment. This role involves building and assembling hydraulically operated compressor packages. The role will also include troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment operates at maximum reliability and functionality. We are looking for a highly motivated, organized individual who will a key role in minimizing downtime and contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of operations.

Responsibilities
Shop Work (Primary job done 95% of the time)
Responsible for performing shop work on hydraulically operated oilfield compression technology. Will also be assembling compression skids.
•Other shop responsibilities include: troubleshooting, disassembly, visual inspection, repair and upgrade proprietary equipment.
•Help and assist in performing shop work on Fluidstream multiphase compression technology equipment components (piping, motor, wiring, hydraulic pump, valves, controllers, valves, etc.).
Field Assistant (done 5% of the time)
•Assist field service staff with various client oilfield sites to service, maintain, and repair Fluidstream multiphase compression units.
•Perform field troubleshooting and prepare diagnoses for mechanical and electrical issues as required.
•Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with other employees and customers.
Qualifications
•Valid Class 5 Operator’s License; with clean Driver’s Abstract
•Expert abilities in all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance.
•Heavy Civil Construction or labor experience is an asset
•Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components is preferrred
•Physically able to perform duties (i.e., lift to 50-100 lbs.).
•Experience with hand tool skills.
•Computer experience, as it relates to documentation and equipment diagnostic systems.
•Welding experience is a definite asset
•Ability to work independently as a problem-solver and to professionally represent the company.
•Ability to assemble/disassemble parts with both hands.
•Ability to pass background check as well as drug test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
