About This Job

Shop Hand – Full‑Time (50 hrs/week) Term: May – end of September, with strong potential for extension and long‑term growth Location: Peace River, AB Schedule: Monday–Friday (10‑hour days), occasional Saturdays as required

What you’ll do

•

Assist mechanics with repairs, maintenance, and daily shop tasks.

•

Operate pressure‑washing equipment to clean heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and shop bays.

•

Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked with parts and consumables.

•

Safely move tools, equipment, and materials using forklifts or pallet jacks.

•

Perform basic preventative maintenance (fluid checks, tire pressure, minor repairs).

•

Handle pickups and deliveries of parts and supplies around town.

•

Champion our strong safety culture by following procedures, wearing PPE, and reporting hazards.

What you bring

•

Solid work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and eagerness to learn.

•

Ability to lift 50 lb + and work on your feet for extended periods.

•

Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.

•

Forklift or skid‑steer experience is an asset, but not mandatory.

•

Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
