Job Description
The
Shipper/Receiver
is responsible for maintaining the inventory and stock systems and related materials. You will be responsible for creating and maintain cycle counts, assisting with the maintenance of safety stock levels, and disposition of excess, surplus, obsolete, and scrap inventory. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the creation, completion, and filing of all warehouse related documents and some general warehouse duties as required.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

•Provide quotes and make arrangements for domestic and international shipping.
•Verify orders, invoices, job numbers, prices and shipment information.
•Provide reporting on inventory and stock information.
•Assign, order, approve and maintain inventories of parts.
•Provide contact with customers & vendors, as needed for input on shipping information.
•Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.
•Cycle counting and reconciling inventory.
•Set up stock locations physically and in database while assisting with process improvements.
•Periodic review and disposition of excess, surplus, obsolete and scrap inventory.
•Completion of related documentation.
•Confirm the completion of local shipments and purchase order receipts and file to NOV Canada ULC standards.
•Brings problems encountered to the Yard Manager and/or Area Manager’s attention or to other resources for resolution.
•Demonstrate the capability to work independently on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems.
•All other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
•High School Diploma or GED required
•Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments
•Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
•Knowledge and experience with warehousing and industrial equipment an asset
•A valid forklift operators certification is considered an asset
Technical Requirements
•Databases knowledge an asset
•Microsoft Office & Outlook knowledge an asset
HSE Requirements
•Sitting for extended periods of time, computer/keyboard work, squatting, bending kneeling, reaching, twisting, ladder work, stair climbing, indoor and outdoor work, exposure to change of temperature and humidity, exposure to dust fumes and gases, working near moving equipment, and working from heights.
