Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shipper/Receiver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient picking orders, receiving products, and shipping materials accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements. You will also play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, operating indoor forklift, and using a computer system to manage inventory and shipments.
Duties
•Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
•Perform shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
•Label, package, and coordinate shipments with carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
•Safely maneuver product manually and with material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
•Utilize company software to release sales orders, receive inventory, manage stock inventories, check MTRs, and create Bill of Ladings.
•Maintain warehouse organization, stock rotation, and inventory control to maximize efficiency.
•Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment, report maintenance issues, and follow safety guidelines.
•Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
•Participate in overtime as required.
•Participate in annual inventory counts at the end September.
Qualifications & Requirements
•Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record (abstract to be provided).
•Previous experience in warehouse distribution or material handling is preferred.
•Experience with shipping/receiving procedures and order fulfillment.
•Forklift operation experience and/or certified is preferred.
•Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
•Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs throughout the day) while following proper safety protocols.
•Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
•Comfortable using computer systems for inventory management and shipping documentation.
•Strong mechanical knowledge is a plus, with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
•Able to read, write, and understand English.
•Willingness to wear required PPE, including hard hat, steel toed safety boots, safety glasses, coveralls, and gloves (provided by the company).
