Shallow Utility Labourers Operators Lead Hands

Job Overview

Allstar Construction is a leading supplier of power, gas, and communication installations in the Metro Edmonton area.

We are currently seeking quality individuals to fill various positions such as: Heavy Equipment Operators, Labourers, Skilled Labourers, Lead Hands. We install shallow utility infrastructure (power, gas, street lighting, telecommunications) to new residential developments. We are currently expanding and have a legitimate need for people to grow with our company and fill out leadership positions.

Duties

- Labourers: be a general site hand to assist the crew in completeing jobs

- Skilled Labourers: assist with installing conduit, cable, vaults, pedestals. Ideally be able to operate skid steer

- Lead Hands: assist the foreman in running the job site and over seeing small group of labourers to complete tasks.

- Operators: Utility Backhoes and Trackhoes to trench, sand, backfill, and assist with installation of conduit and cables.

Qualifications

- Labourers: no prior experience required.

- Skilled Labourers: prior experience with shallow utilities a definite asset. Skid steer operation an asset

- Lead Hands: prior experience with shallow utilities required, reading prints is a must and being able to direct labourers to accomplish your goals will be a huge asset for this position

- Operators: Proficient with operating and trenching with Backhoes and Trackhoes is a requirement. A site competency test will the first step in securing this position.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$37.00 per hour

Experience:

- Backhoe: 2 years (preferred)
