Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sewer Camera Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and experience working in the field with underground infrastructure. The Sewer Camera Specialist will be responsible for inspecting sewer lines using advanced camera systems, accurately diagnosing underground issues, and supporting repair planning with precise and thorough reporting.
This is a field-based position requiring technical skill, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate with plumbers, excavators, and other service professionals to ensure safe and effective project execution.
Responsibilities
•Perform sewer camera inspections to assess pipe conditions, locate blockages, and identify damaged sections.
•Interpret footage and capture clear, annotated video documentation of underground conditions.
•Generate accurate and timely inspection reports for use in estimating and service planning.
•Operate and maintain sewer camera equipment, locators, and associated tools.
•Communicate findings clearly to plumbers, project managers, and customers when needed.
•Assist in excavation prep and sewer repair planning based on findings.
•Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace on every jobsite.
•Maintain daily logs and track camera equipment inventory and maintenance needs.
Skills & Qualifications
•Mechanical or technical background preferred; experience with sewer camera systems is a strong plus.
•Familiarity with push camera systems and/or lateral launch inspection tools.
•Ability to identify common sewer issues including bellies, root intrusion, breaks, and offsets.
•Comfortable working in crawl spaces, basements, and exterior access points.
•Basic understanding of plumbing systems and underground infrastructure.
•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent communication skills and professionalism when interacting with customers.
•Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
•Comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces.
•Capable of standing, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.
