Position Overview
The Service Technician will perform service work, installations, scheduled maintenance, and preventative maintenance on all Filter Sales & Service, Inc. service accounts. He or she will service customers by operating a company vehicle. The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.
- Responsible for troubleshooting product for required repairs
- Routinely change air and water filters, change UV bulbs, and perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Visually inspect installations for leaks and malfunctions
- Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures
- Maintain and comply with company vehicle maintenance policy and procedures
- Technician will have strong technical and mechanical aptitude
- Technician will have familiarity with basic tools and maintain ability to transport both equipment and tools to customer sites
- Responsible for both electronic and written customer and company information
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Preference will be given to those with experience in repair and maintenance
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn the internal workings and repair approaches to installing, maintaining, and replacing commercial air and liquid filtration systems
- Highly motivated, self-starting individual with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail
- A clean work record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Physical requirements include ability to bend, squat, walk with heavy equipment, climb ladders, and lift 70 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- DOT Medical Card required; Filter Sales & Service, Inc. will provide for exam fee.
