The Service Technician Level 1, reporting to the Shop Foreman/Coordinator, is an entry level position that provides support to Level 2 & 3 Technicians. This position includes ensuring that all Service Technician Level 1 responsibilities are accomplished in a timely manner while working within a team environment. A broad knowledge base and mechanical aptitude are essential to this position within BarrelEye. The Service Technician Level 1 will also make recommendations for process improvements within the Operations Group. The Service Technician Level 1 is also efficient, organized, self-motivated and detail orientated.
- Perform servicing of Downhole Tools (including Motors, Vibration and Shock Tools) by following applicable SOPs and Manuals
- Ensuring accurate data entry into SimX and Service Reports/Work Orders
- Proficient in the use of specialized tools for servicing Downhole Tools
- Conducting daily pre-use inspections of equipment and specialized tools
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized shop and yard environment.
- Provide support to management and collaborate with other departments to improve operational efficiency.
- Handle various additional duties as assigned to support the company’s operations and goals.
- Preferred: Experience with forklifts and powered cranes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending, crouching, kneeling.
Split Shift Details (Shift rotation will occur every week):
1. Day Shift (This shift will follow a set schedule each week and will not include weekend work):
Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 6:00am to 3:00 PM
2. Afternoon Shift (On-Call - this shift may be required to work additional hours based on operational needs)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with overtime as required, including weekends. Hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm
- Ability to work flexible hours; including weekends if required
- Knowledge of downhole oilfield equipment is beneficial.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
