POSITION BACKGROUND:
The Service Representative is integral to Ketek’s operations and is essential in assuring Client retention through the provision of hands-on customer service. The career growth of a Service Representative is dependent upon personal interest, inclinations, and abilities.
CORE DUTIES:
•Establish and promote excellent relationships through clear and accurate communication;
•Take instruction from Dispatch and/or act to ensure tasks are completed in a safe manner;
•Install, troubleshoot, maintain, demobilize Ketek equipment for the benefit of the Client;
•Using, cleaning, and maintaining the different tools required at the worksite;
•When not in the field, will work in the shop and complete duties as required, under the direction of a Shop Foreman; and Follow instruction from Dispatch;
•Take responsibility for all related site functions;
•Perform routine onsite housekeeping duties;
•Operate vehicles in a safe manner;
•Fill required paperwork;
•Ability to successfully complete safety training as required on an ongoing basis;
•Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment; and
•Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required
Oilfield or service experience would be an asset
•Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with clean driver's abstract
•Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
•High School diploma or GED
•Able to demonstrate good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
•Familiar and comfortable with various saws, grinders and other hand tools
•Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
•Ability to handle changing schedules and priorities, with high level prioritization skills
•Strong work ethic and organizational planning skills with attention to detail
•Ability to work independently or as part of a team
•Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude
This position is defined as Safety Sensitive: Drug, Alcohol, Back and Audio tests are required prior to commencing employment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands
•Regularly required to stand/sit, talk/hear, stoop, climb, lift, balance, kneel and use of hands/fingers to operate tools, machinery and materials
•Moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) may be required
•Use of mechanical aids: overhead crane, forklift, pallet jack, and dolly may be required
•Regular exposure to loud noises and metal particulates - hearing and respiratory protection is provided when needed
•Potential exposure to acetylene gas, fumes, oil, and paint residue
•Exposure to sharp edges, pinch points, trip and slip hazards, and blind spots
•May be required to work in high, precarious places that are near moving parts and/or electrical works or in confined spaces
Work Environment
•Field environment (85%) and shop environment (15%)
•Required to work weekends and outside of regular office hours
•Required to work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and heat
