Job Title: Senior Warehouse Technician
Position Overview: The Senior Warehouse Technician is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. Acting as a team lead, this role provides guidance to junior staff, ensures adherence to safety standards, and plays a key role in optimizing warehouse workflows. The Senior Technician is expected to operate with minimal supervision, troubleshoot operational issues, and support the management team in achieving departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
+ Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against documentation.
+ Ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of outbound orders.
+ Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
+ Perform cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits.
+ Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
+ Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software to update stock levels and records.
+ Identify inefficiencies or safety risks and recommend improvements to workflows and layouts.
+ Collaborate with supervisors to implement warehouse best practices and lean initiatives.
+ Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
+ Ensure that material handling, storage, and shipping practices meet OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
+ Report and document accidents, incidents, or equipment malfunctions.
+ Work with Maintenance manager to track and schedule vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely service to minimize downtime.
+ Coordinate with repair shops, dealerships, and parts suppliers to manage work orders and service appointments.
+ Assist with assigning vehicles and equipment to drivers or departments based on availability and need.
Non-Essential Functions (Duties):
•Assist in onboarding or training new warehouse staff as needed.
•Support warehouse audits and inventory system upgrades.
•Participate in cross-departmental meetings, safety reviews, and workflow planning sessions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
•High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or vocational training preferred.
•Minimum of 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with increasing responsibility.
•Forklift certification preferred
•Strong working knowledge of inventory systems, barcoding, and shipping software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
•Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.

•Sound judgment and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues, such as equipment malfunctions or inventory discrepancies.
•Basic math and computer literacy for inventory tracking and warehouse management system (WMS) use.
•Situational awareness and adherence to safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with OSHA or other regulatory standards.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
•Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
•Regular lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds (occasionally heavier with assistance or equipment).
•Frequent use of hands and arms to handle, lift, grasp, or operate tools, machinery, and warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
•Ability to climb ladders or use step stools to access inventory stored at heights.
•Tolerance to work in varying environmental conditions including temperature extremes, dust, and noise.
•Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.
•Good vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and identifying product details or safety labels.
Work Environment:
•Indoor warehouse setting with moderate exposure to equipment noise and vehicle traffic.
•PPE required in accordance with safety regulations.
•May occasionally require overtime, weekend shifts, or on-call support during peak periods.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $26.00-29.00/hour
Reports To: Supervisor
