We are seeking a Senior Technical Records Analyst to join the Legal & Corporate Affairs department, reporting to the Records Management Manager. This in-office role, based at our downtown Houston headquarters, is integral to maintaining our Records and Information Management Program, which ensures compliance with legal, business, and information management requirements across the full lifecycle of company records—from creation and retention to disposition. This role combines strategic records management with hands-on technical administration of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms, contributing to both operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the lifecycle of recorded information—physical and electronic—including creation, access, storage, retention, and disposition.
- Monitor and support the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system and associated modules, including troubleshooting, and user support.
- Monitor application performance and assist with issue resolution in coordination with infrastructure teams and vendors.
- Serve as a key contact across departments for managing company-owned information assets, escalating issues, and providing program updates.
- Maintain and enforce the company’s records retention schedule in alignment with ISO standards and best practices.
- Support legal holds and the retrieval/preservation of information assets for litigation and regulatory matters.
- Deliver training and presentations to Records Coordinators and stakeholders on governance practices and program initiatives.
- Support integration between SharePoint Online libraries and ECM Workspaces.
- Assist with advanced configuration options and user account setup.
- Act as a subject matter expert for ECM platforms and other information management systems.
- Identify and support new initiatives aligned with strategic business goals.
- Develop and maintain file plans and naming conventions in collaboration with departmental Records Coordinators.
- Manage vendor relationships for storage, retrieval, imaging/scanning, and destruction services.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Library Sciences, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience in records and information management, information governance, or enterprise application administration.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency working with records and information management (RIM) software (e.g., OpenText xECM, MFiles, Virgo, RecordPoint, Documentum).
- Familiarity with implementing and supporting an enterprise content management (ECM) system.
- Familiarity with ISO 15489 standards, Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles, and NAID protocols.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and processes.
- Ability to think strategically, innovate, and respond proactively to evolving business needs.
- Strong work ethics, professionalism, and adherence to company policies and business etiquette.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train others on technical and governance topics.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high standards of professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
