Job Summary

Responsible for complying with federal and state tax laws and for maintaining tax processes that maximize efficiency. Also responsible for assisting with interim/annual tax provision and reporting.

Essential Functions

•

Review US federal, state and local corporate income/franchise tax returns and estimated/extension tax payments and all related workpapers and calculations.

•

Review various components of the quarterly ASC 740 accruals including the calculation of book to tax differences, tax basis balance sheets and tax account reconciliations.

•

Drive automation, process improvements, and increases in the overall efficiency of the income tax compliance (federal and state) process through developing and leveraging expertise in the company’s financial systems and its tax compliance software.

•

Conducts federal and state tax research utilizing tax software to analyze the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, case law and state statutes.

•

Assist on various indirect tax matters when needed, including sales tax audits and posting of monthly journal entries.

•

Work on special projects, as needed.

Education Description

•

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.

•

CPA or an Advanced degree is a plus.

Experience

•

5+ years of federal and multi-state tax compliance experience at a corporation or accounting firm.

•

Onesource, SAP and Alteryx is a plus.
