Independently installs and maintains server hardware, storage systems, server-based operating systems, system support software, utility software, application software and other hardware and software components. Provides support for complex non-application software issues and certain application software issues. Administers system-level security functions.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a computer related discipline is preferred. Requires (5) years of IT experience, (3) of which must be as a network or system administrator responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of network and/or server hardware and software products in a medium to large scale installation.

- Plans, maintains, supports and documents server, storage and affiliated hardware and software configurations.

- Conduct security reviews, identify issues and make recommendations to improve system security.
- Tracks and reports the progress of all assigned tasks ensuring management’s awareness of project status.

- In the absence of an incumbent System Administrator, Network Administrator or Senior Network Administrator, may be assigned to perform duties associated with that job function.
- Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.
Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment. Must be capable of working extra hours and/or weekends when necessary to complete a project on time. Must be available on a 24-hour basis in the event of a system malfunction, which requires assistance.
