This position is part of the Finance & Accounting Team responsible for the strategic and tactical execution of management activities in compliance with internal and external controls. Responsibilities include ensuring business transactions are properly and accurately accounted for, while adhering to Crimson Midstream’s accounting processes and procedures.
§ Fixed asset process (i.e. Work in Process, in service assets, Capital Accruals, CAPEX, etc.)
§ Preparing reporting package (i.e. Cash Flows, Equity Roll, etc.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
§ Develop, implement and maintain management accounting estimates, defend reasonableness of estimates to external auditors.
§ Perform ad hoc due diligence and proforma cost models for accounting acquisitions, investments and business combinations.
§ Manage inter-company transactions, corporate allocations and quarterly eliminations.
§ Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
§ Manage daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting operations of assigned business units.
§ Directly supervise and review the work of the assigned Accounting staff.
§ Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
§ Perform balance sheet and income statement flux analysis.
§ Assist other departments such as Finance, business Development and Engineering in developing special reports by various segments, projects or businesses.
§ Develop and implement various procedures to enhance the quality and timeliness of workflow.
§ Analyze and communicate financial results to Company Controller, CFO and other departments as required.
§ Master’s Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration preferred
§ 3-5 years of accounting experience; Oil and Gas (Midstream) client experience preferred.
§ Experience in public accounting and/or the Midstream sector of the Petroleum Industry preferred.
§ High-level of adaptability and strong team-oriented personality.
§ Ability work collaboratively with other groups outside of Accounting and Finance team.
§ Demonstrate ability to make sound recommendations and project plans that secure the compliant and efficient operation of the business.
§ Excellent interpersonal skills (training, presentation, team collaboration and communication) with the ability to influence others.
