Job Description
The SCADA Technician is a role for a professional with an instrumentation, controls, or programming background, involving PLC/RTU programming, SCADA integration, customer support, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform remote and on-site programming and troubleshooting on a variety of industrial controllers
•Integrate our customers' systems with our ICScada platform, including configuring network settings, building HMI templates, producing data tag lists, and setting up logging and trending definitions.
•Provide direct support to customers, identifying issues, providing solutions or guidance, and escalating issues to the development team where appropriate. Interact with the development team both directly and through a support ticket system.
•Produce and refine technical documentation for both internal use and customer-facing materials, enhancing understanding and user experience of our products.
•Relay constructive feedback and client insights to the development team to aid in the product enhancement cycle.
•Assess new features and tools from a user's perspective, ensuring they meet our standards for reliability and ease of use.
Qualifications:
•Technical diploma in instrumentation technology or equivalent
•5+ years experience with oil & gas integration
•Experience with HMI development on oil & gas infrastructure
•Familiarity with IEC-61131-3 languages (ladder logic), RTU/PLC configuration, DCS/SCADA systems
•Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively.
