The Senior SCADA Analyst is responsible for implementing and supporting supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems including hardware and software platforms. This work is critical to ensure the systems’ reliability, scalability, and security ultimately providing operations with maximum production and efficiency while promoting safe work practices. Will work independently and as part of a team to support diverse SCADA systems across multiple assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Operations and additional IT teams to ensure SCADA solutions meet business needs, security and proper network configuration and ease of workflows and data processes.

- Implement, maintain and support systems related to SCADA applications according to department standards.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation addressing areas of responsibility.
- Lead system design planning and testing.
- Research problems and issues reported by users and determine best method for issue resolution. Work in tandem with upstream and/or midstream operations to troubleshoot HMI/SCADA/Automation issues. Documents root cause analyses.
- Exemplify high standards of communication to end users, collaborating with business functions to effectively manage and disseminate notifications regarding outages, changes and new features within the SCADA Systems
- Install new releases for SCADA system software and maintain security of the SCADA system.
- Adhere to existing security standards and seek to improve cyber security stance through design and implementation.
- Support data reporting for environmental regulatory information in compliance with standards.
- Support ProCount, Flowcal and downstream reporting (Data warehouse, PowerBI, Spotfire) requirements from SCADA.
- Rotating on-call support for SCADA systems
- Follow Change Control and Work Tracking procedures.
- Coordinate third-party vendors for support and project work.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Understanding of natural gas industry standards, market trends, emerging issues, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience with automation hardware and server-based software.
- Heavy exposure to SCADA systems required. SCADA understanding should include components, protocols and application in various industries (OPC, UA).
- CygNet, Wonderware and/or AutoSol Configuration Manager (ACM) are all a plus.
- Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio Scripting Language/s a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related applications. Uses understanding of digital concepts to create basic digital tools.
- Windows server/OS knowledge including automating tasks, running and tracking processes, server performance, etc. a plus.
- Comfortable working with hands in industrial environments, including mounting servers, connecting cables, and performing basic hardware installation tasks. No advanced mechanical knowledge is required, but a general aptitude for hands-on technical work is essential.

- High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- This position is located at BKV’s Fort Worth, Texas office.
- Indoor working environment that requires the ability to perform repetitive motions and operate standard office equipment.
- Occasional outdoor working environment requiring PPE may be required when troubleshooting or installing servers/OT equipment.
