Responsible for the coordination, control, and performance of related projects that support the strategic goals and objectives throughout the organization. The Project Manager will assist with creating long term vision plans that support the organization’s goals of growth and operational excellence. The projects within the program may include growth into new or existing markets (Greenfields), site expansions or reconfigurations, and other designated major projects that support strategic objectives for the short and long term. The Project Manager will act as project manager as needed for complex, high-risk projects. The Project Manager will coordinate and oversee a collection of interdependent projects in the planning and execution stages across the organization. The Project Manager will aide regional leadership in the selection, prioritization, and review of projects within the program to ensure alignment between program and organization’s objectives. Other responsibilities of the Project Manager include clear and consistent communications across various parts of the organization to ensure alignment around program / project goals and progress, creating decision point timelines for strategic projects, utilizing tools and techniques that assist in decision making for senior leadership, providing mentorship to other associates managing projects and applies technical skills to resolve acute issues as needed.
40% of job: Monitor cost, schedule, and performance of related projects to ensure the overall success of the program and the region. This includes projects run by the individual, as well as projects run by other support teams. Coordinate all of the resources and stakeholders for any active projects being managed by the individual.
20% of job: Coordinate management of multiple related projects by developing annual and longer-term plans that support strategic objectives and portfolio planning. This includes prioritization of projects and associated resource planning.
20% of job: Assist regional leadership by managing projects and initiatives that are on a smaller scale but have a high impact to the business. This includes providing technical guidance when necessary and relevant to the Project Manager’s expertise.
10% of job: Facilitate and manage stakeholder requirements, expectations, and communications.
10% of job: Review of proposed project estimates, scopes, and purpose as it relates to the support of the regional program.
Work Experience: 5-10 years of construction/mining project management minimum
Required Licenses & Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
