Position Summary:

The Senior Procurement Specialist performs and coordinates administrative, technical, and professional work related to ensuring all cost centers are supplied with the necessary materials, equipment, and services. This role involves ensuring compliance with guidelines, policies, and internal controls, training internal users, and managing the daily operations of the procurement services department in the absence of the director. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong technical and communication skills, capable of streamlining procurement processes and fostering strong supplier relationships.

What You'll Be Doing: (Responsibilities)

Procurement Administration and Compliance

Generate periodic reports to ensure information completeness.

Procurement Execution and System Management

Roll over POs at fiscal year end.

Supplier and Interdepartmental Facilitation

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Purchasing.

To Be Successful at This Job, You'll Need To: (Minimum Qualifications)

Excellent basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Five (5) years’ experience in a large procurement environment of a major corporation or governmental agency.
