Position Summary: This role will assist the Head of Natural Gas Trading desk and Analysis team, on developing and maintaining supply/demand models, market analysis, database management, and presentations/meetings related to the Commercial Natural Gas Team within PCIA, HQ and other PCI branch offices.
Primary responsibilities include maintaining, developing, and managing models that support the commercial functions of the Natural Gas Team. The role involves presenting insights in meetings, analyzing key market drivers, and contributing to the generation of trade ideas. This position is also responsible for the daily preparation, monitoring, and analysis of fundamental data to support the physical trading desk in market evaluation and deal decision-making. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Regional Supply and Demand Balance Sheet
: Develop, maintain, and enhance regional supply and demand balance models to support commercial strategy and physical trading decisions.

NYMEX Supply and Demand Balance Sheet: Produce and update NYMEX-aligned supply and demand balance sheets to capture market trends, forecast price movements, and inform trading positions.

Present and Host Fundamental Meetings: Deliver structured, data-driven presentations on market fundamentals; lead regular meetings with traders and commercial teams to share insights, forecasts, and trade ideas.

Physical Deals Analysis: Analyze physical deal structures, pricing dynamics, and logistical components to assess commercial viability, identify risks, and optimize trading outcomes.

Global LNG Analysis: Conduct global LNG market research, integrating international supply/demand flows, pricing benchmarks, and geopolitical considerations into natural gas trading strategies.

Market Intelligence and Decision Support: Collaborate closely with the physical trading desk to evaluate market drivers, generate actionable insights, and support the development of forward-looking strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with scheduling, risk, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment of market assumptions, model outputs, and trading strategies.
• Bachelor's degree required, economics/finance/business/mathematics or quantitative discipline preferred
• 5-10 years US Physical Natural Gas experiences required
• 1-5 years US Physical Natural Gas experiences at Gulf Market is preferred
• Exhibits a strong understanding of natural gas supply and demand factors
• Exhibits a strong understanding of cross-commodity economic relationships
• Exhibits a strong understanding of trading, origination, structuring and operations
• Proficient Excel skills (VBA, Python also a plus)
• Must be technically proficient with modeling and data management systems
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively across different audiences.
