Senior Maintenance Electrician – Overview
The Maintenance Electrician will work within an integrated maintenance team of personnel. You will interact with plant and field operations, quality assurance and control, supervisors, planners, engineers, and maintenance personnel to perform specific diagnostic and repair services on equipment at the Hanlan Plant and in the Edson North field. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will maximize the cost efficiency of operations and pursue value-added opportunities to enhance assets.
Location: The facilities are located 75 kilometers south of Edson, near Robb. This position requires the successful candidate to reside in the Edson or Hinton area, with company transportation provided to site.
Please note: This position is within the scope of the collective agreement between Canlin Energy and Unifor Local 508A. Compensation will be determined as per the collective agreement.
The Role
•This position will support both the Hanlan Robb Gas Plant and the Edson North field.
•Perform diagnostic and repair services
•Assist in maintaining complete and accurate related records
•Assist in Planning and Scheduling, supporting the Maintenance Coordinator
•Assess and apply safety procedures and compliance
•Ensure that all safe work policies, standards, codes of practice, and procedures are enforced
•Improve the reliability of operations
•Assist maintenance for operations within the Hanlan Robb area, as well as third party facilities
•Assist with full maintenance process as it relates to safe processing of natural gas
•Demonstrate and uphold all of Canlin’s rules, guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to the operation of company assets
The Person
•Journeyman electrician certificate with inter-provincial red seal required
•Dual certification in electrical and instrumentation trades is preferred
•Senior experience in an electrical role (10+ years)
•Comfortable and experienced in a sour gas facility (5+ years)
•Experienced in PLC’s, VFD’s, and High Voltage Systems
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve; maintenance data gathering, manipulation and analysis
•Strong computer skills required, experience with computer managed maintenance systems
•Complete understanding of maintenance methodology
•Ability to make sound decisions while working with limited supervision
•Demonstrated experience as a team player
•Ability to shift priorities and focus to complete tasks in a timely manner
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Strong organizational skills
•Valid Class 5 driver’s license
•Certification in H2S alive, First Aid, WHIMIS, TDG
