The Geology Technical Supervisor reports to the Geology Manager or alternate, and the primary role is to supervise the operation of a fully functional core processing facility and provide logistical support for drilling and sampling activities.
- Supervise the operation of a fully functional core processing facility.
- Manage the dispatch, tracking, retrieval, storage, and disposal of geological samples.
- Assist with geological data management, including data entry and invoicing.
- Manage the procurement of Geology consumables and fixed assets, ensuring adequate supplies for all drilling and sampling activities.
- Complete regular audits and inspections to ensure maintenance of mobile and fixed plant.
- Assist in the management of Geology Technicians and Senior Geology Technicians.
- Develop in-house training programs and provide ongoing mentoring to Geology Technicians and Senior Geology Technicians.
- Written and verbal reporting to Senior Mine Geologist/Senior Resource Geologist/Senior Development Geologists.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
- Develop strong working relationships with members of Mine Geology and Exploration Teams.
- Prepare upgrade criteria for each non-exempt job classification, as well as any needed revisions, for manager's approval.
- Provide and monitor training opportunities in an objective process; ensure that training opportunities are made available fairly, consistently and in a manner free from discriminatory bias.
- Review employees' requests/applications for training based on objective evidence related to job performance, abilities, and interest.

- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the mining or exploration industry.
- Skilled at maintaining accurate records and files.
- Critical thinking skills and problem solving/trouble shooting skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Effective written, verbal, and communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company.
- Demonstrated computer skills in MS Windows environment with experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Current State Drivers License.
- Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
- Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.
This position is site based and the successful candidate will work a roster of 15 days on, 13 days off. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light
Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, great Wi-Fi & cable TV. Cell service is available through Wi-Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska
