Position is responsible for various Reservoir and Operations Engineering related tasks associated with the Engineering department.
Organize and update year-end and mid-year reserve databases, including supporting documentation.
Prepare the reserves database for the year-end 3rd party audit of the reserve report.
Maintain the database of behind-pipe and PUD opportunities.
Update and maintain the economics, field reserves, and production tables in the reserves database.
Create initial production forecast on each well for review by management.
Analyze the lease operating expenses and enter the same into the reserves database.
Prepare various presentations and reports as requested by Management, including log displays and cross-sections.
Prepare reviews of production and profitability on both operated and non-operated properties.
Assist with environmental and regulatory requirements including SPCC, Tier II, EPA GHG, OOOO(a), and state reports.
Prepare and submit various OCC and other regulatory agency forms as requested for drilling, completion, and production operations including upload of monthly operated volumes to OCC by the 10th of each month.
Compile and enter operated and non–operated producing well data and ensure accuracy of data. Upload well production for reporting monthly volumes in SSI and PowerTools.
Prepare and maintain electronic & hard copy well files when new information becomes available. Add new well history documents to the electronic filing system.
Distribute production reports for WI owners in operated wells.
File monthly oil statements and water tickets and request reject fee tickets from Circle K Services, if any, for the month.
Assist with nominations and allocations for gas marketing. Review volumes for operated wells and Take-In-Kind (TIK) wells to determine the best nomination.
Learn the communication process with purchasers including ETC, Mark West, TallOak, and others.
Review the total volumes by pipe to determine gas splits.
Work with non-operators on new wells regarding pipeline connections and assist with making timely marketing elections.
Monitor pipeline imbalances and recommend changes to nominations as required.
Become familiar with the Gas Marketing Agreements, Gathering Agreements, and Purchasing Agreements governing JMA’s marketed volumes.
Maintain nomination sheets for JMA operated wells and TIK wells. Advise Division Order and Accounting personnel of any changes in owners marketing elections.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering or Production related to the Oil and Gas upstream industry is required. An applicant must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the knowledge of necessary software and computer applications.
