Senior Gas Trader procures short-term physical natural gas supplies for resale to the company's retail gas customers and the company's gas-fired power generation facilities in accordance with company procedures. Administers the sale and/or release of the company's gas pipeline transportation rights and excess gas supplies. Schedules gas deliveries on the interstate pipelines to ensure proper balancing of supply and demand.

What you will do* Solicits bids for and negotiates the purchase and sale of physical natural gas commodity for periods up to 60 days in advance. Makes decisions on purchases and sales in accordance with management directives. Ensures all purchases and sales of gas are fully documented and summarized for accounting and billing purposes.

Education Requirements* Bachelor's Degree Emphasis in economics, accounting, business administration, engineering, or related area Preferred

Required Experience* 3 years of experience in energy trading, scheduling, risk management, forecasting, engineering, or equivalent analytical or financial experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Demonstrated understanding of public utility economics, operations and market economics and finance concepts preferred.

Pay Range:

$100,000-$130,000

This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
