BC Hydro’s Energy Planning Key Business Unit meets the long-term needs of BC Hydro’s customers for clean, safe,
reliable and affordable power now and into the future, and addresses the fast-changing energy landscape that all utilities
currently find themselves. Dynamic resource plans identify where we need to keep options open while committing us to
evolving our business in areas that benefit our customers and the province. Specifically, we outline the company’s role in
advancing provincial climate goals and energy policies, and how we'll anticipate and prepare for changing technology,
alternative sources and suppliers of energy, and the resulting uncertainty in our load forecasts.
The Network Services Team, part of Energy Planning, integrates future perspectives into integrated resource planning by
representing BC Hydro as Network Customer under BC Hydro's Open Access Transmission Tariff and facilitating informed
dialogue on integrated resource planning topics. Planning is at the core of this role. This role requires close coordination
and collaboration with multiple BC Hydro disciplines as well as external organizations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Load Forecasting and Network Services, the Senior Resource Planning Engineer will
be responsible for:
