Senior Commissioning Engineer

Overall leadership and technical oversight of the commissioning process.

- Manage site-based technical team, 10-50 people, from installation through commissioning and acceptance testing, and facilitate smooth handover to services

- Manages site-based workflow in line with critical path demands, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, grid interconnection requirements, and regulatory standards.

- Act as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders (Project Managers, Project Engineers, Customers, OEMs and Vendors)

- Develop and follow commissioning plans, test plans, procedures, and schedules.

- Understand and interpret project-specific task orders, change orders, and MSAs.

- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and high-level troubleshooting for major issues.

- Provide final commissioning sign-off and documentation.

- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

Extensive experience in BESS, power systems, control architecture and

commissioning.

- Strong background in commissioning, system integration, and grid compliance.

- Proficiency in SCADA systems, communication protocols and power conversion systems.

- Leadership and project management experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or other engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).

- Safety certifications (OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid, CPR, AED) preferred.
