The successful candidate will report to the MPL Business Operations Director. This position manages commercial agreements, identifies and evaluates efficiency opportunities, manages joint interest relations and performs other special projects as needed. A broad understanding of pipeline operations, project management, business planning and strong communication skills are required to effectively advance potential initiatives.
- Create, negotiate, amend, maintain and execute pipeline connection, reimbursement, DOT, service and operating agreements predominately with affiliate companies and some third parties.
- Support MPLX business development, MPL growth strategies and efficiency initiatives.
- Support M&A activity by leading onboarding and offboarding project teams to effectively operationalize assets or systems new to MPL or transition the assets to other operators.
- Coordinate business operations, joint interest meetings, develop board books and support commercial activities for MPL operated joint ventures and joint-interest systems.
- Collaborate with MPLX Business Development team as appropriate in support of MPL initiatives.
- Act as project sponsor for project reimbursement agreements and asset retirement. Determines appropriate asset stage and works with business development to divest non-strategic assets.
- Perform financial analysis on special projects
- Bachelor’s degree required; engineering, business, law or related field preferred.
- Five (5) years directly related professional experience in Pipeline, Commercial, or Business Development preferred.
