Salary range: $108,664.00 to $135,830.00

Senior Analyst – Market Fundamentals

Avangrid Renewables is seeking an experienced nodal market analyst to join the Fundamentals group at Avangrid Renewables. The successful candidate will work on highly technical, quantitative, and analytical initiatives and projects including, but not limited to, powerflow analysis, market simulation, locational marginal price (LMP) analysis, renewable integration studies, and evaluation of the impact of market rule changes on these forecasts and analyses in the Eastern Interconnect and ERCOT regions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of nodal market operations in one or both of these regions, powerflow analysis experience, and experience with or desire to learn power markets.* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (power system emphasis desired), Mathematics or related quantitative field with strong preference given to candidates with solid educational background in power systems analysis or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience

Preferred Skills* Experience with power market price forecasting and simulations using constrained economic dispatch models such as Aurora.xmp or similar
