Summary

The position will work under the direction of the Finance Manager. The Senior Financial Analyst will perform all aspects of accounting related to the business including but not limited to journal entries, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate comes from a general accounting background, has a sense of ownership, ready to hit the ground running and pick up tasks as they relate to the role.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

•

Take a leading role in monthly accounting close process and monthly forecasting process

•

Process monthly accounting entries including but not limited to maintaining revenues, expenses, and related balance sheet accounts (e.g. Inventory, Deferred Revenue etc.)

•

Partner with business teams to prepare monthly forecasts and annual budget

•

Assist with Inventory management, including but not limited to inventory counts, analyzing inventory impairment (aging, slow moving) per company policies, and recording accurate inventory movement.

•

Maintain supporting schedules for various projects and contractual obligations.

•

Process projects and orders in SAP for month end tasks, including but not limited to adjusting entries as required.

•

Perform month end closing activities in SAP, including but not limited to the timely closure of projects.

•

Maintain reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.

•

Assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements and management reporting.

•

Compile and communicate various month-end analyses for divisional management.

•

Maintain a working relationship with internal customers to provide Adhoc analysis and SG&A reviews

•

Support and compile internal and external audit requests.

•

Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics.

Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

•

Strong ERP (SAP) experience.

•

Experience in an environment that encompasses manufacturing and project accounting.

•

Exposure to POC (Percentage of Completion) accounting/revenue recognition.

•

Experience with maintaining projects, sales and orders within SAP from a financial perspective.

•

Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience or a combination of training, education and relevant work experience that is equivalent.

•

Experience in oil and gas, and/or construction industry is a plus

•

Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, multi-task environment.

•

Advanced Excel (pivot tables, dashboard, charts, graphs and simple macros) is desired.

•

Demonstrates support, commitment & participation in department goals.

•

Work well in a team environment & a team player.

•

Intellectual curiosity, process improvement mindset, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical in this role.

•

Fast and flexible, organized and works well under pressure.

•

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
