Senior Accountant

Are you a detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment? Join our growing team in Lakeville, MN, and help build the financial backbone of an innovative engineering company.

We’re a small but growing firm supporting cutting-edge renewable energy engineering projects across the U.S., and we’re looking for an experienced accountant to manage project-based financials, ensure compliance with GAAP standards, and support operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

- Support project accounting by tracking costs, budgets, billing milestones, and revenue recognition

- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure accurate financial data and timelines

- Maintain and enhance ERP accounting workflows (NetSuite experience a plus)

- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

- Set up and maintain GAAP-compliant accounting procedures

- Help prepare for audits and ensure documentation is clean and current

What We’re Looking For:

- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a project- or service-based industry

- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred

- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices

- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

- Strong workflow and process building skills and attention to detail

- Comfortable in a collaborative office setting

- Experience working in the engineering, construction, or professional services sector

- Prior exposure to job costing, work-in-progress schedules, or revenue recognition rules
