Receive, process and visually inspect incoming scrap with the ability to determine the grade in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
Verify and document supplier’s contents by visually inspecting load against the weight ticket obtained from the supplier.* knowledge of the different types of scrap in order to accept, downgrade, or reject the load as needed. Responsible for documenting any non-conforming material.
Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clear and orderly fashion. Follow all safety regulations and practices.
