Energy Alloys Global Solutions, a BioUrja Group company, is a global distributor of corrosion resistant steel and chromium alloy metals to the oil and gas industry. The QA Saw Shop Coordinator is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes within the saw shop, ensuring that all cutting tools, equipment, and fabricated materials meet established standards. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with quality control oversight to maintain operational excellence and compliance with safety and manufacturing standards. This position will work onsite at the Katy facility and onsite with our sub-contractor/saw shop company to monitor cutting operations, perform inspections, and uphold Energy Alloys Global Solutions' quality expectations.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on saw shop tools, equipment, and finished products.
- Develop and maintain QA documentation, including inspection reports, calibration logs, and compliance records.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and operational procedures within the saw shop.
- Inspect and verify orders for accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Document product receipts accurately in the inventory management system.
- Coordinate unloading and safe storage of materials.
- Communicate discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues promptly.
- Perform QA and QC checks on incoming and outgoing materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document inspections and escalate any product quality issues.
- Work closely with procurement, operations, and management teams to resolve QA/QC concerns.
- Maintain up-to-date QA/QC documentation and assist during audits and quality reviews.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate logistics for shipments and inventory movement.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, inventory transactions, and QA/QC logs.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts, reconciliation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that materials are properly tagged & packaged as per customer requirements.
- Ensure materials (including drops) stored on site are properly tagged and stored as per standards.
- Driving and Delivery (Local Commute Only) as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in logistics, supply chain, or quality management are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required).
- Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, QA/QC, or driving roles preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding product inspection and quality assurance.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy items safely.
- Basic computer applications for record-keeping, inventory tracking, and reporting.
- This position involves physical field/warehouse duties.
- Drive time on the road and in other facilities, as needed.
- Occasional exposure to Warehouse / Manufacturing environment.
- Occasional exposure a noise level that is Moderate to High.
- Physical requirements include standing, lifting, driving and moving products frequently.
