SAP Functional Lead

SUMMARY:

The Process Engineer/SAP Functional Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our technical resources run efficiently and effectively to support our daily operation activities and meet strategic goals in our Brownsville, TX facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending in order to develop appropriate process changes.

- Create impact assessments and analyze the ROI for system enhancements.

- Adhere to practices that improve operational efficiency via expanded communications with key processes including IT, Sales, and Services.

- Analyze and resolve service requests and incidents related to SD and MM modules in a timely manner, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize business impact and maintain operational continuity.

- Lead business requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders, utilizing workshops, interviews, and surveys to capture detailed functional requirements for SAP SD and MM module enhancements according to best practices, data governance and global SAP global template

- Configure SAP SD and MM modules aligned with business requirements, customizing settings and functionalities to optimize order processing, procurement, and inventory management processes.

- Apply agile methodologies to manage SAP configuration projects, focusing on iterative development, continuous feedback, and adaptive planning to meet evolving business needs.

- Develop new reports to satisfy business requirements

- Execute rigorous system unit testing, regression testing, and coordinated user acceptance testing (UAT) support to ensure smooth implementation and alignment with business goals.

- Evaluate current systems and recommend improvement or upgrades

- Provide support and training to end users

- Ensure data accuracy

- Conduct regular system audits

- Collaborate with the IT global team and other departments to integrate systems and processes

- Other duties as assigned by Manager

- Experience with system analysis and design methodologies

- Proficiency in SAP MM and SD modules

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

- Strong communication and documentation skills

- Functional specifications design

- Technical specification design

- Errors debugging (ABAP)

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
