About This Job

Brenda Kay Sand is looking for two Sand Plant Operators / Miners for our sand and gravel production facility located in Benton, MO. This is an entry-level position with opportunity for advancement, but we will also consider experienced candidates. Duties will include general labor tasks, equipment operation, dredge operation, mechanical repairs and maintenance, electrical work, and other duties as skills allow.

We are willing to train the candidate so the ability to follow instructions and willingness to learn are required traits

•

Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality are all required

•

Good organizational skills and ability to work well with others required

•

Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions and some exposure to heights

•

Will include some work on a dredge so the candidate can't be afraid to work on or around water or in tight spaces

•

Experience in the sand and gravel industry or operating a dredge is a plus

•

Experience operating heavy equipment will be considered a plus

•

Mechanical skills, fabricating ability, or electrical skills are a plus

•

Strict adherence to MSHA and site-specific safety rules

•

Background check, drug test (including cannabis), and fitness for duty test all required before being hired

•

Minimum of high school diploma or GED strongly preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
