Reporting to the Sales Manager – Western Canada, the Technical Sales Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our sales activities and towards all related work for Score (Canada) Ltd.
This position is based at our Edmonton facility. The Technical Sales Lead provides high-level support to the Client Focal Point (CFP) teams, ensuring efficient operation and communication.

- Structure, lead and motivate the Sales, Contracts & Focal Point teams.
- Build a strong, disciplined infrastructure that drives excellence in Sales & Customer focus.
- Lead team in ability to provide technical sales including engineered and actuation packages.
- Ensure timely completion of enquiries for all Score products and Services.
- Ensure systems and reports are populated and accurate
- Draft, Review and Approve quotations and purchase orders.
- Works with the Business Development team to support development of action plans & strategies to penetrate new markets.
- Manage product & service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
- Provide timely feedback to management regards performance.
- Prepare and issue monthly sales reports to management.
- Maximising working capital through astute commercial negotiations.
- Ensure maximum profitability for all orders secured.
- Ensures that all Sales, Contract, Focal Point team members meet or exceeds all activity standards for quote generation and conversion.
- Delegate’s authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
- Sets examples for sales team in areas of personal character, commitment, organisational and selling skills including work habits.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Any other reasonable duties required to meet the requirements of the business.
- Participate and encourage others to participate in company HSEQ initiatives.

- A bachelor’s degree is an advantage, preferably in sales & marketing although not essential.
- Candidates must have in-excess of 5 years proven Sales experience gained within the Valve, Valve Service or Oil & Gas industries.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role with a proven record of increasing responsibility and achievement.
- Proficiency in Sales, Applications Engineering (Sizing & Selection), Design of Valves, Industrial & Process Valves, On-Off Valves and sizing of Automated Actuators for various process applications.
- knowledge of the Canadian Valve business is preferred.
- Experience gained as part of a globally recognized Valve OEM or a regionally recognized Oil & Gas aftermarket solutions business.
- Successful experience as a Technical Sales Lead with a comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian Oil & Gas industry and extensive knowledge of valves preferred
- Intelligent, with excellent analytical and strategic skills.
- Good business judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills are necessary both oral and written; proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
- Capable of quickly establishing credibility and persuading professionals at all levels.
