British Empire Fuels is proud to be a locally trusted, family-owned, and operated HVAC and home heating business with over 70 years of experience in the Kawartha Lakes and Trent Lakes areas.
This comission-based position will expand the company's account base for heating fuels, propane, cardlock, lubricants, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) and home heating & cooling products, through referrals and cold calling.
The role will focus on adhering to, and exemplifying the Company's core values and beliefs while promoting the company and the brand wherever possible. Maintaining relationships with our existing customer base by identifying solutions that match our customer's needs, while seeking out new sales opportunities.
This role reports to the Sales Manager and is based in areas encompassing Kawartha Lakes, Trent Lakes, and Peterborough County
- Gain new customers for all products offered by the company. This includes heating fuels, commercial fuels, farm fuels, propane, cardlock, lubricants, Diesel Exhaust Fluids (DEF), and HVAC equipment.
- Maintain positive relationships with the company's existing customer base, while learning their needs and providing turnkey solutions.
- Follow-up surveys/customer satisfaction
- Provide “after sale” support to facilitate relationships and grow repeat business.
- Sales of maintenance programs
- Grow/maintain business relationships.
- Assist in organizing and attending trade shows.
- Follow up and coordinate the installation process.
- Assist with promotions and advertising, as required.
- Develop expert product knowledge, becoming a trusted resource for technical products for customers and colleagues.
- Attend and participate in training as required and deemed beneficial.
- Assist with the delivery or products and equipment when required.
- Any other duties which may reasonably be required.
- Diploma in sales or marketing, or higher.
- Minimum of three years of sales experience, preferably with a background in Fuel/HVAC Sales.
- Customer centric and thrives on building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Quick to respond to customers' inquiries.
- Exceptional organizational skills, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A high level of integrity.
- Demonstration of initiative and sound business judgement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work outside of traditional business hours to meet customer needs.
- Must have a valid driver's license, an insured and reliable vehicle, and be able to travel to company locations, attend meetings, and exhibit at tradeshows.
