Safety Trainee - Electrical Power Line Industry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Safety Trainee to support our safety team in ensuring compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company safety standards in the electrical power line industry. This entry-level role provides hands-on training in hazard recognition, jobsite inspections, safety reporting, and regulatory compliance while working closely with experienced safety professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with daily jobsite safety inspections and audits.

- Support crews with proper use of PPE, fall protection, and safe work practices.

- Document and report safety observations, near misses, and incidents.

- Participate in safety meetings, tailboards, and training sessions.

- Learn and apply OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company safety requirements.

- Provide administrative support for safety records, forms, and reports.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent required; safety or construction coursework a plus.

- Strong interest in pursuing a career in occupational safety within the power line industry.

- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel to jobsites.

- Good communication and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
